The oil filter adapter with the oil line fittings bends in under the pan whereas this adaptor tucks in behind the pan. This is due to the shape of the pan. The front nose of the 92-99 pan (unsure of prior) tapers from the crankshaft down to the bottom of the pan once is squares off. The aluminum pan is squared off, this kept me from using the original oil filter adapter.

Next up besides finishing the hookup is "modifying" my windshield washer container.
The FWI will fit better if the bottle was molded to it.

Ahhh..I think I understand you now John. The oil pan and filter adapter were on the motor when I put it in. Conceivably you could also put the charger on. My experience working behind the motor on exhaust bolts etc and the abiltiy to put bolts into the opposing ends of the heads (diagonally front by waterneck and rear where accessory bracket belongs) gave me better balance of the motor for installation. The bracket is easy on the S2.
In your case, I'd put the chain on the opposing corners, because your accessory bracket is full length from top to bottom IIRC and you'd want that on the motor.
Bob.. It'* not often when you know there'* something that is tough to get a picture of and plagues so many members. When changing the motor..you have to find this stinking bolt. In this case..the light was places on the a arm and an opportunity was present.
