At the moment..all I have to show is wire brushed bolts.. (wow do they clean up like new)
Wrinkly finger tips from scrubbing valve covers.
I'm lining the things up with the bolts in it to be ready. All aluminum is cleaned of all corrosion and ready to be reassembled.
I expect Dan in an hour or two and I'm not stopping for anything... Gotta get the torque specs ready, It'* coming together..and wow....how nice and clean .. I don't think I've ever done this much work on a car with everything being clean.
BTW.. East Coast FTW... Purple Dino Motorsports... Green is the color of mold!
If you can believe it.. Captain Wren called last night and the first thing he says is...get it in gear..I have more pages of performance build up than you do...lol We all know..it'* not about number of pages.. it'* about getting it done (and I've got youth on my side....he'* got arthritis....)

Further progress in CT was hampered by one @#%#@%@#$ bolt being a PITA. New bolt to be procured in the AM.
Pics are a loading..

As mentioned the F'n lower end isn't done because of the f'n bolt. Meanwhile..all the pistons have new rings. The old ones.. uh yeah..had so much material that it was a waste to put new rings on them.
Pushed the mobile operating table over to the work area (note the orange valve cover gaskets to the right..)
Yup..parts
Cleaned another piece
Cam comparison, the shiney one soon disappeared from sight.
Oooooo lining up parts and putting the clean bolts back in to get ready... no surprises
Fresh seal
Fast forward...Mechanic Dan was over and there'* no pics when you are flat rate
I got pistons
Hey MAC...here'* the answer to your question about which ones are where .. #1 is TDC
Other side
Balance shaft and cam gear (not cam timing sprocket)
Lifters went in...as did the lifter keepers..sorry..no pics.. very oily
Hey..I got head!
Uh oh.. intake manifold must be in the works..we got goop!
Aluminum frame gaskets
Oops..fast forward again.. I torqued it.. and then cursed CoolantElbow up and down for sending me L36 valve cover gaskets.. he'* a good egg though..just needs to be taught which parts are for which motors. Old ones were good..and got reused.
I HAD TO DO IT (hey Travis..remember your comment to me in the staging lane?... Eat it buddy j/k..lol...gosh am I tired)

Absolutly stunning motor. So shiny, clean and powerful. That is how to do a motor up right.
The great Bonne build-off is producing some quality results and amazing attention to detail along with some serious bling
