Can one of you 00+ owners take a picture of the lower intake manifold bolts for me. Oddly enough..the 97 bolts and others I've done were rounded at the top of the head..these are very crisp and precise....
Mine are rounded at the top.

Now you now how I felt when I opened up my 30 K engine to replace parts. It is a bit cleaner than that one.

Stick to the technical talk ABOUT the swaps/build. Two more posts deleted.

I understand we're trying to keep a light-hearted atmosphere to keep Bill'* spirits high, but do it like I do. Via PM or phone.
I hate repeating myself, but this is ridiculous at times. Out of respect for the TOPIC AUTHOR and the Staff that have to police this topic,

On the oil pressure kit.

Intense site doesn't give a URL to link to it. Under Hardcore Engine, it'* the 6th item down.

ZZP also has a similar kit.

I believe this to be the main factor as to why the second motor didn't start up with a knock from the first time I cranked the engine. It is already installed in the new motor and I'm happy to have the extra pressure backing up my mods.

I will get pictures of the pan either tonight or tomorrow. Might need a helper to move the pan under the light. It'* pretty funny how much material is in there.

Current motor came from a Bronzemist car. Thanks Mike.! In 2002 it had a carrier assembly, that doesn't appear to be a motor. Being the last record at 35K, this tells me the motor I have has less than 55K on it and looks like under 10K.

No worries there Paul..I do only good quality work. A bad junkyard motor can happen to anyone on a budget. They stood behind it and took care of the situation. Now I'm doing my part with the new motor. It exhibited KR in the first couple miles, my original motor ran with no KR with the proper temp. This one should do the same or better, then apply a proper tuning and it should be quite fast.
the happened to me when i replaced a motor in a 98 Se very frustrating but i kept the wrenchs turnin and everything worked out
hell last week i did LIM on a 3100 and the motor was a sludge queen cleaned it all up and what do i get? LIFTER TICK!!!! and Low Oil PSi
im glad to see that you are having better luck
i cant wait to see finished results
