Good...I'll keep the pan with the little amount of oil and the pieces in it. You can help me get pics/vid for the club. There weren't sparkles, there were large pieces!

Can't wait to get out of jail today. I am planning a paced install this time, marathon motor swapping can be good...however why kill yourself all week after work.

Aiming for springs and probably cam installed tonight. Tomorrow will be lower intake and timing cover/oil pan. Friday install and fire up.

I thought our install last Saturday was a paced install. While we had it done in only about 13 hours, it seemed like we took our time!

I can't wait to see the new one fire up. The cleanliness of this one has me more optimistic this time.

PLEASE keep this on topic and the lounge-type posts in the Lounge.

Stick to the technical talk ABOUT the swaps/build. Two more posts deleted.

I understand we're trying to keep a light-hearted atmosphere to keep Bill'* spirits high, but do it like I do. Via PM or phone.

Boost, whats the latest? Have you noticed any more differences between the late 90s L67s and the '01? Any more bolt differences? Casting differences?

Progress tonight was more than planned.

First off..there'* many signs that this motor is a remanufactured. Valve seals for one of them, the cleaniness of the entire motor and the paint marker. I am in high spirits with this information in hand.

Some clean pics..

Rocker difference..here'* a rocker off the last motor near the new rockers.

I did the rockers, springs, cam, oil pressure increase kit, oil pan and intake. It'* almost ready to go in....oddly enough it looks much like the last couple.

My redneck cam install tool

It'* funny...it felt wrong to take this one apart to add the better parts because of how new it was inside.

Casting difference is noticable in the intake area...on the ends the gaskets have locating holes for the end pieces. On the 97, they weren't there..the 01..they are there. That'* about the only thing I noticed.

Those valve seals look (are) like the ZZP design. That engine is definitely clean! A reman at 90,000 miles is odd, but it would put me in good spirits too if it was rebuilt.

Bill, those VC'* looked fooked. It will be better to paint them off the engine though. You mind if we take those off Friday?
