Pete got here in the nick of time to help me find a spring retainer in the top of the toolbox where it landed when the spring compressor lost it'* hold.
We've cleaned parts, prepped many other things and once the motor is back here...it'* go time again.

New motor will be picked up Saturday morning. TFC doesn't know it yet..but he'* probably going to be helping swap.
Stay tuned for a potential new PB on an engine removal.

That so totally sux... I remember mine like it was yesterday, and I think it was almost two years ago. and I still only have about 1000 miles on that motor.. maybe.. since then.
I'm sure Bob remembers too, he was with me when she let loose, it pegged on KR twice at cruise about 60 mph and I could hear some slight knock at cruise, on accelleration I couldn't hearing anything and on decel I couldn't hear anything when suddenly she let go.... that'* all she wrote.
Later,
as of 6:30 PM
new motor is painted, timing chain, balancer, water pump, front cover, valve covers, are all on the new motor
the the Oil pan is going on as we speak, and then the NEW motor is going in with the goodies.....Bill is going to try and get the flywheel on right the first time
