I'm looking into PEMs and maybe LIM. I was just curious... I'm trying to figure out what boost will be for me.

I got the exhaust manifolds off today, wow, what a fun job hahahah, not.
I now need two new bolts for the crossover pipe to rear manifold, they both broke off instantly, with VERY little tourque applied, oh well.
Only one crack in the front manifold, that was it.
That was a ten mm bolt head, but in a last ditch effort to remove it, it was quite stripped to begin with on the crossover pipe, i hammerd a smaller much older socked over the bolt head and it busted right off hehehe

Matt, I had to replace both crossover pipe bolts myself, and chose to do the ones on the downpipe as well for good measure.
Mine didn't break, but they did bend. Heat cycling has a way of making them bind. None of my hardware was overly rusted, (no salt in Oregon), but they had their problems due to age.

im quite impressed as there is VERY little rust anywere under my car at all. but the lower miles probably means it might not of seen alot of winter.
Tomorrow i stop by joels work, look at prices on a die grinder and the bit i need to port my LIM.
We have a high pressured high heat Vulcan parts washer at work Bill, my LIM should be fine if i run it though there? or no?

Matt, this topic might just surpass DrJay'* by the time you're done.
Our climates are similar, and our mileage on our 93 SSEi'* are almost identical. Do you guys use salt to melt ice up there? Red clay gravel for us here, similar to a baseball infield.
The vulcan system is NICE. It'* a great de-greaser. Your EM'* are low-grade stainless, and should be fine in any system used for cleaning, but I'd wait until after welding and porting to run it through.
After all that, use the Vulcan washer, then wipe down with MEK or Acetone before painting/coating.
