Default Matt'* SSEi IS DONE!!!! :)

Tonight I am starting on my car
Basically, draining the coolant, removing the upper rad hose, air box assembly, removing the alt, coils, and ect..making some room under there to start on it, afterward off comes the SC.

What are your plans that you are draining it and pulling things apart.

Hey Mattt, while the coolant is out, take off the TB and give it a good cleaning.

You might want to keep the LIM on right up untill your going to port it. When I had mine off over nite it was already starting to rust under the balancer. I think Bill kept pouring oil over his to keep it from doing this so thats another option.

Correct. It'* a bitch to drain it down below that level (removing the WP would be the most practical). Even the heater bypass hoses won't drain it all, you WILL get coolant in the lifter valleys.

Best thing to do is leave it sealed until you're ready as suggested, especially with the moist air this time of year.

After you pull it off, douse the lifter valleys with cheap oil, and drain. Do that every week or two with another quart until it goes back together.

I will probably remove it here today, clean it up a bit here and there, then just set the LIM back ontop of the old gaskets and heads, i will do the oil thing as well for sure.
I have to order my LIM gasket kit from the dealer.
