Glad to hear things are getting done. One thing though, even though Intense'* customer service is bar far the best Ive seen, It makes me wonder that if you build a relationship with a local trans shop and spends tons of money there, that they would be just as willing to take care of you too?

The reason I ask this is because, I was going to use next years tax refund to get an intense built trans and drive out there for the rebuild, but things like this happening (probably a rare occasion) would leave me busted financially having to ship and return a tranny.

If I stayed local, It would only end up costing me a tow. I dont know really, im torn on my decision now.

Are some of these performance tranny parts built by, and only available by Intense? If so, maybe I can purchase a performance rebuild "Kit" if available, and have a local guy perform the rebuild.........

hmmm something to ponder.......

Hope everything goes well from here on out Bill.

The INTENSE Gen 3 LSD is their specific design and product to my understanding. I considered the local shop or build myself route. By the time I purchased the higher quality parts and installed..the price was nearly what it cost me to have INTENSE do it. Tim builds a transmission in a day (or less), the quality of parts and service is unmatched.

Meanwhile..to get back to my situation..things do happen. In my life..I've become quite used to things happening....to ME. Ask Pete about my reaction on the second motor..crap happens. If there'* not a dead or mutilated body call it a good day.

Now here I am one person out of a large number that have an INTENSE trans. The number of these transmissions out there functioning 100% without problems is large. INTENSE is standing behind the transmission and helping every way possible.

Show me any local shop that knowingly builds you a trans for racing and abusive behavior that stands behind it. WillWren is the only case I know of where that is true beyond INTENSE. Considering the potential power differences between the 4T60 and 4T65, that is a good thing.

I have no doubts about the build or the install. Something happened and it is being remedied. The level of service and support amazes me daily. It is simply awesome. Do I sound like a commercial for INTENSE? Probably.. When I find such a company with outstanding service, support and products..I let people know.

Im not trying to discredit the build or Intense'* quality of work, I was just curious if this is something that can be done locally for guys such as myself who dont have the money/debt level to do this so far away from home. If I can find a shop locally to do a performance build, then for me, that would be the most affordable way to go since I dont have the funds to do what your doing, if something should go wrong. That is all. I'll keep my comments to myself from now on though so I dont strike a nerve with other members or Intense.

Thanks

We do offer upgrade and rebuld packages for the 4t65E-HD if you wanted to purchase the package (or individual parts) and have a local tranny shop install them.

I'm excited...

Reinstall shouldn't be much more than an hour once it'* out of the shipping carton.

Did I mention my excitement today for a trans that will hopefully arrive on Friday?

I should know later today. Talked to Todd, looks like it will be opened up this afternoon in hopes of having it built back up by the time Gonneville leaves Ohio in the morning.

BTW..Gonneville graciously offered to bring the trans to NEBF with him and Petraman on their tour of NY (Oldsman..notice I didn't tell you which part of NY ). That would get the transmission here on Thursday instead of Friday.

Still an unknown if it'* possible to get it done that quick... these guys are trying though. I can't thank INTENSE and Gonneville enough for trying to make this happen. It'* above and beyond ....no doubt about it.
