I'm pretty sure those needle bearings came from the valve body.
*Runs to take pics of his valve body for comparison*
K....here we go

Now that I see the debris in the pan, it all kinda makes sense. That added vibration with the flywheel situation probably stressed the oil pump shaft. Shaft snaps, and backs out a little bit, causing the needle bearings to fall out.

Those needle bearings could come from many sources within the trani.
I know the diff units are the same and would bet there are many more within the gearing and rotating parts.
Could simply have gotten a Friday afternoon rebuilt Trani.
It will be covered by INTENSE but Bill'* biggest problem now is getting it there for the swap. :(
The fair thing for INTENSE to do is either pay for return shipping including a bonus part and Bill does the swap or they pay for a one way tow and do the work themselves...........
Depends on what Bill thinks is fair of course.

Let'* keep the diagnosing for the experts.
As mentioned..there are a few different areas and parts that the bearings could have come from. Although I doubt valvebody bearings would end up in the pan and not cause larger problems.
Todd has already been in touch and is watching the thread. I prefer that the Intense guys get to enjoy their weekends and don't plan on contacting them during the weekend. Afterall...we should all be able to have our time off.
The car will be towed to Mechanic Dan'* shop on Monday by AAA. Glad I did that before heading to west coast last year. Dan has been hounding me through all the motors to help out. Now since the trans is easier with a lift and trans jack...he'* getting his chance.
As for if the trans needs to take a trip or not, I'm assuming it probably does but will contact Intense on Monday and we'll go from there.
Yes there'* a meet coming up...that doesn't necessarily mean my car will be back on the road by that time.

Baaahh, at the speed you work, it will be back on the road next weekend after the 3 days you wait for INTENSE to ship you a replacement.
They really should ship one to you at the same time you send them yours to save time.
