Help...I'm NA... HELP.....!!!!
Ok.. it'* over, I put the belt back on.

Tried running no belt. My friendly pal KR was right there as expected. Since I typically see the KR while in vacuum, this was done to rule out the SC etc.

Swapped out that small wire to the rear knock sensor and laughed at my though of putting on the false knock patch with the engine and trans in..the shield on the back sensor and the engine hot. Silly thought.. don't attempt at home.

Got the anitknock wrap on the front sensor.

KR'* still there..lol

Uh..thanks Badnit.

Tonight/tomorrow I'll be pulling the knock sensors, checking the torque and swapping them with my 97 ones in case something is possibly bad with one of them.

Interesting thing tonight..

Started the car.. drove about 4 miles to a buddies house. We went out and drove for about 10 minutes. Took a corner near his place (cop had passed a moment earlier) and the car died exactly like when I got off the highway at the track.

Wouldn't restart. Tried, had enough fuel for a cough and would die. Got another key, checked vats.. appeared to have pressure at the rail, had spark. Checked VATs again since it seemed I was getting the prime and nothing else. Hooked up the Tech2.. mmm nothing visible on it. No DTC'*. No anything out of the ordinary. Could hear the pump turn on with it.

Car got another ride home That AAA membership is paying off (Someone please find me a GIF with a black car on a tow truck..)

Started testing more..looking for anything. Now car would crank but have no apparent fuel to burn. That'* different than the 2 hours of trying earlier. Went to check fuel pressure..looked like I got none, reattached pressure tester.. poof..got pressure. Cranked and fired right up.

Now I'm cornfused by this POS. It had enough fuel before to try and start. Then didn't. And now...has plenty and runs fine. Think I'm going after the FP relay and connections in the morning.

Did it die instantly, or did it sputter out?

What are we going to do with that car, Boosty? Your fuel pump is relatively new, isn't it? I think the FP relay sounds like a good place to start. What a crazy situation this is...

This is a stupid question but how much gas did you have in it. I have had my car do the saem thing if i have like les then a 1/4 tank and take a hard right (i believeit is right). I think it is the gas going to one side of the tank. Probably has nothing to do with it but an idea.

TJ and I talked..might be fuel...the car died..and sat on a downward sloping street. Once in the level garage for a bit.it stayed running. Not sure if I buy it..but maybe.

I see how it is... always keep the tank under 1/4 in case you find some action at a stop light

To have the car die instantly sounds a little funny for running out of fuel... I would think it would sputter a bit, but anything'* possible. I hope it'* as simple as gas. Keep us posted.
