At the moment.. the possibility is pure speculation. I would rather Tim has more time with it if needed than to have it back for one specific day at the track.

First off I'll like permission to come out and play...................taking for granted Boosty gave me permission, I'd like to add, that I will be very dissapointed not to be able to see the Boostmobile in action on the May 16 long weekend NEBF. I know that Bill will make every effort to get the car back on the road. I'll say a prayer tonight and every night to help out the process.

BACK TO YOUR TOOLROOM! :P

Quick turnaround is one thing... miracles are another. To get things shipped, fixed, and back in this tight timeframe would be close to miracle.

Is there a break-in period for a new trans anyway? I'd be hesitant to race it right "out of the box" personally.

There isn't any break in period. I asked this when the trans was first installed. Tim told me, "let it warm up to temp before getting into it" I've followed that one thing, it'* simply the best way to treat your drivetrain.

Got the car towed to Dan'* tonight and magically he said..we finish the car he was working on and then pull the trans. It killed me to test drive that vette around a bit.

Trans came right out. Amazingly no bolts fought.

From the outside, it looks great. I'll be crating and trying to ship it tomorrow night.

Update:

The trans is crated and being dropped off for shipment tonight. It should arrive at INTENSE Friday afternoon.

It is currently scheduled to be looked at Tuesday, possibly Monday. As long as everything goes properly from there (and I'll say it again...If it needs more time..it'll be there longer) it might be arriving back on Friday the 18th.

If I bribe Mechanic Dan.. we can probably put it back in that same night and be at the track for Saturday morning with a running car.

This is no longer hypothetical, and now the only variable is what Tim finds when he opens it up.

There'* a real possibility that this might come back together and still make it to the track. It can't be said enough how far Intense is willing to go in helping customers and being much more than a vendor, being true friends

One more reason I would like a Intense Trans in my car very soon, I just don't think any local shop would be as willing to help as they would.
