That looks very good. Didn't you say it wouldn't look as nice as the first one? I wholeheartedly disagree. That is some very good woodwork.

Thanks! The outside cuts were not as nice. I had a friend of mine with a scroll saw and drum sander make the original plates. I cut this one out with a band saw and rounded the edges rough with a file.

[I went looking for the perfect emoticon for this post and I can;t believe some of the funniest damn smileys I've ever seen!]

It runs! No vacuum leaks, idles at 900rpm. I was scanning -30deg timing and realized the trans was still unplugged, so I extended the trans harness and plugged it in. Now I only have three codes, an errant EGR code I forgot, an "aux coolant heater" I never heard of, and a trans range sw code. I hope now the timing will be right. I think the pcm went into some kind of trans limp mode and retarded the timing and enleaned the a/f. I had to skew the fuel injectors just to get it to idle at 15:1.

I went back to stuff I did last January and found when I moved the transmission wiring the other day, the two wires I cut were power for the TCC PWM sol and the TFT sol. I just fixed that.

Took out one last EGR code and it seems ok, but it is still idling kind of high and the timing is showing -20 to -16deg. I think it might need a CASE learn. I'll try that next.
