As you might have read, I was too anxious and coud not wait to run it. I estimated by seat of the pants to be around 300whp. I was pretty darn close! 315whp and 400wtq. That'* as much tq as my 455 Pontiac put out! The power was made on 6psi turbo and 16psi total boost, which works out to the */c "squeezing" another ~7.5psi. That'* RIGHT where I wanted the */c to be! Now, with another 2-3psi boost from the turbo, I should be at about 21-22psi total!!!! How awesome is that? 8psi at the turbo, 8psi at the */c makes 21psi!!!!!!!
But I digress. The head set will arrive Wed morning and I'll be putting it all back together. I am refitting the head studs, this time using Loctite for a permanent installation. (And a pellet or two to make sure they seal this time!) I realized I used the black goo aviation sealer in the block threads, I always used that in the old days for any bolts going in the water and oil galley plugs, too. Used it on SBC head bolts with never a problem! Oh, well, gotta clean the threads in the block real good....
here'* the dyno chart. Remember, this was with no water in the intercoolers and 6deg KR for a miserable total of only 3deg timing! The pcm starts pulling timing almost immediately, look at the tq curve and you'll see when it hits, right at 70mph (about 3500, peak tq rpm usually, but not on 3deg timing!)
