changed the oil in the monte, and washed it, cleaned up the engine bay, went on a road trip with it. im sure its felt neglected with all the time ive wasted on the firebird. so im giving it some love before getting back on that thing.

happy 4th everyone. today i had to cut the grass so i could avoid mowing over hidden bottlerocket sticks and the such tomorrow. so i just sortof randomly moved the cars to the vacant lot next door. also a good opportunity to show off my american flag on the cb. lol

New pads and rotors on the front yesterday. No more shudder on the highway now I did break one of the slide pins on the passenger side though. Looks like a trip to the JY is in order soon.

i took my mb for its first ride off the block today. runs like a champ. them ugly green tires will be black before i know it. lol

its been so miserable hot, havent been able to do anything with my firebird the trans is just sitting there on the bench. not much time left for stuff like that when you have to do everything the first couple hours in the day on the weekend

its been mid 90s here, too. it sucks but i carry a big bottle of water and a sweat rag. lol. today i plan on mowing then changing laurens oil when she gets home from work. then, i think im going to have a beer. i am so sick of just having "work on peoples for free days" instead of off days.

i got my trans back together and in the car today, couldnt try it yet though i broke a vacuum tee and didnt feel like going into town for just that. down to about 4hrs from bench to completely hooked up now, you know when you have done something way to many times.

my "free labor" workload should take a significant drop, yesterday my mother traded her 03 imp for a 13, and my inlaws 96 bonnie, the frame started tearing apart. so we found a 2000 lesabre custom that spent 75% of its life in southern pa, were they dont use salt. have to put a a/c compressor in it and both rear door regulators but after that should be good. he got it for 2600

got the engine going and took the car for a ride. got to tune the carb some but the trans seems good, finally.
