Gonna have to take a look at the Bonneville, and spend some money I don't have.

Wife just told me that the Service StabiliTrak message came up and of course all the corresponding lights are on with it, but this time there is no speedometer. Based on the last bit I'm thinking it'* gonna be a bad WSS, but I'm gonna scan it first to make sure all my other input sensors are working.

If it is a bad WSS, I hope its in the same hub as I need to replace the bearing on.

I'll have to ask the wife, then take it for a spin.

Is the VSS the one in the trans?

Yes, usually located near the tail output shaft area.

well if she drove it home maybe the trans is fine, maybe a cluster issue. i think those are connected to the pcm via serial data, so would improper vss from pcm set off tc lights and all?

I've heard that for all those lights to come on its usually a WSS and not a VSS.

Ok, just drove it.

Speedometer and transmission are working fine. Guess I gotta scan the codes.

Almost had a wheel barrow go through my windshield on my Cruze. Luckily, I swerved, but damaged all down the driver'* side. Also lucky none of the airbags went off.
