Gen V Supercharger Swap
#111
I'm getting so excited about this swap....
I think I have all the parts I need now until Bill sends back the Gen VI case
It sure is tempting to go all the way with cam, intercooler and but then I wouldn't have anything to do next year.

FYI, I'll be starting a new topic soon to walk through Haro'* and Paul'* SC porting/polishing/modifications. Both will be going through the works simultaneously.
I'm plugging Paul'* EGR port, and while that dries, I have the time to disassemble, clean, and prep Andrew'*. From there, it goes pretty quick.
The trick is getting all the carbon traces out of the EGR inlet, and 'back-cutting' the passage so the plug holds firm with expanding/contracting, and vibration.
I'll be trying a new technique on the inlets that I haven't tried before, but only for the rough work.

No I wasn't serious about the M112. I think the Gen 5 will keep me happy for a while.
Judging from the performance I just got today out of the Bullet in this cool weather, it'd be twisting off half shafts if it had any more torque.
I expect you to be making some progress this weekend Bill. :P
Key that EGR plug in well.....there may be some Methanol spraying onto it.

This'll make it easier to remove the plug if you every wanted to. JB is drying, Haro'* SC is coming apart (my Gen3 also).

So here I sit, three weeks later without any progress to report.......still waiting for Bill.
My LIM will be polished to a mirror finish.......
I have every harness and bracket disconnected on the engine in anticipation of breathing new life into it with the Gen 5 huffer.

Well, I couldn't wait any longer and this weekend I was busy.
Shelving another 5 lbs of dead weight.
Thanks Haro for instructions on how to unfasten the injector electrical harness.
Surprise, surprise. I found my leak.
And look at how much oil is inside the LIM
Two of three lobes on one rotor are worn with no coating. The other rotor is good. The water injection really washes it clean.
Very rough outlet compared to the Gen 5.
