Well ya the new STS has a 4.6 L supercharged stock 435 hp engine.
Do we have anyone on this club that has one. :?:

I don't think so. :?

Neither. Very poor sales is the answer. I was offered one for COST to get it off the lot with 30 miles on the ticker.

Regarding the XLR-V - it has a 4.4L version of the Northstar that is supercharged. It is rated at 469 horsepower. It is also found in the STS-V. Both are RWD with 6 speed autos. Unfortunately, I witnessed an STS-V on the dyno in cool conditions with low humidity and it only put down like 342hp to the wheels which would be a 27% loss in the powertrain. It was rather diaappointing. But I believe the way the supercharger is covered up and tucked very tightly against the engine that it probably suffers from heat soak issues which can cost you quite a bit of power.

Oh, willwren, I think someone said they could buy all the Bonneville GXP'* they wanted for 10 cents on the dollar - and they had ZERO miles on them to boot! I am sure you will be able to find one for FREE pretty soon - Ha!

WHY, ...is this person still in the Club, He consistently Posts off topic, throws barbs at Administrators and Moderators alike, demeans fellow members, has been told to bring his signature down to size many times and ignored a "do it or else" warning........I just dont get it.

BTW, MR DAYTONA, Will Wrens explanation is sound. I bought mine fully loaded for $29,000, a discount of $11,000. And to this they added the Mid Level GMPP $1600+, Body Corrosion and Paint Sealer Package $600, Free Oil Changes, and a Tankful of Premium Gas. The Sales Manager cited poor Sales and a overstocked inventory as the reasons I got the deal.

ptrfair, The Supercharger is indeed on the 4.4L. A slightly different engine model. If it would bolt on, it would just send the GXP PCM in a tizzy.
