I like what I have read...original GXP car was just an SSEi with some of the mods we all want to do anyways. Now Pontiac is talking the V8 and bigger trans.

Is the exact words either they want to leave out the fact its fwd or its a Rwd. transaxle is the official word they use for the 4t80-e transaxle. But you are right its the 4l80-e that is the Rwd. So FWD is what it is. Well 300 hp is old news on a fwd engine LOL I can upgrade your 87-2003 with either a 300hp 4.9l for 87-95 at 10,000.00 or a 300hp 4.6l for around the same all the way up to 2003. Either way its cheaper than buying a new car. So finally GM has caught up to ASG. I can’t wait to see what happens with when the Rwd comes out. I think Tamara will like rubbing this in the face of the GP guys.

No, but GM is going to start converting alot of their lines back to RWD because they finally figured out after 20 years thats what people want, V8'* and RWD. Gee, who knew.

Speedy talks about Rwd because the CTS will have it in v8 form. Basically the same platform. It’* going to happen. But that is only if the market is still good over the next 2 years. If the market is good the rwd will come on the scene and Gm will stop pretending to be an Asian carmaker and do what it does best; RWD with too much hp and gobs of soul. I think I mentioned that awhile back. They have been listening too because they changed there adds now, Soul is in 4 of them. Soon its going to happen. First v8 fwd YES!!! Finally. Then the big move will be the Rwd. Fwd is easy since the new H body is a G body in so many respects anyway. So that is easy. RWD depends on the market response. If the GTO sells very well ( it will) then so should the Rwd CTS ...then comes the big leap if America shows its love for Rwd with cash flow then the g body will get its Rwd platform. Simple math and politics. So RWD will come but only if our economy and we the public have the cash. I believe the day of buying a car and loving it will return. So far there are very few cars that the common person can buy and buy because they love it. Most of the time it’* because of fuel economy or it was practical. Bonneville had that, Love my car market... they could have it again if they do this. If they don’t make a Rwd Bonneville I will have a kit out. I figure the store and local speed shop will be up by then.
My 2 cents are free its my 10 cents that will cost ya. LOL
