How to Add Horsepower to the 2004 GXP
I am going to toot my own horn here I have been researching this engine and the options since long before this site started. many moons. I have wanted to swap a N* into a fwd Bonneville in RWD format. LOL Scott I remember you saying something about it being a poor combo. Something about you feeling the SC 3.8l was better??? Change of heart or just an experiment?
I have talked with the owner of Cadillac hotrod fabricators and the owner of XMS and RSM and a few other camps I will not mention. All are very helpful and unlike with the 3.8 shops open to provide information and knowledge.
I know this computer can be done but the money is just not there and DHP is going to have to actually earn their cookies to pull this off. LOL I know those who have been working on the computer and there is alot of information and custom hardware that they needed to work with the computer and Caddy is not to interested in having us mess with the computer. The programmer I use actually had his E-mail crashed many times deliberately. Others have been phoned directly and asked for information as to applications of their product on Production cars. Believe me I thought it was a joke but as you can see recently it has not been a joke and Cadillac has alot riding on there current unbroken program and cars.
Stand-alone systems work great and DP will offer one.
We are also continuing to work with our computer guru to have the caddy computer mastered. lol No one I mean no one as of yet has done it and its not because they didn’t try.
So once you give in and buy a stand alone engine management system or once DP finally get the computer unlocked then applying the basic stuff will be great. The turbo is the way to go with a high winder like the N*.
There is a limited slip and performance transaxle already available and the heads are already available along with custom cams. BUT you need a computer to apply the toys. Our custom cams are made from scratch so you are not limited. I know this was an issue for some.
We do have some product coming but your going to have to wait A bit longer.. Just watch over the next few months and there will be a bunch of new product first in the Grand Am area then the Bonneville. Then the caddy will get some surprises.
DP is looking for N* owners in the Fresno area who want free performance parts for their car in turn for being part of the project. This includes free dyno time.

I didn’t mean to imply you were specifically closed mouth but Scott please lol you must know I know you better than that.
I still seem to have problems spending time on your site. It seems to freeze up??
Why is that?

Well I cant give details but very very close and give me a month or two more and wala the whole N* line will be doable.
The issues are far greater than most think and it is really a case of cash to pay for the time involved and the other "stuff" wink needed.
If there were ten steps to this process I could say we are two steps away from completion.

I am not a computer GURU by no means, but if you tell me how to post a sound clip, I will try so you can possibly add it to the site?

1) K & N Air Filter - part number 33-2063-1. The folks over at Edmunds.com say this is an exact match and will fit our cars. I haven't confirmed this yet, but plan to order one soon.
2) PCM - I don't know how much opportunity there is here, but we'll start working on this one next week, and we should have PCM'* available by the end of June.
