Venom, thank you for taking the time to do the extensive research on these N* engines. After reading your research findings and of course doing some research myself, I have simply settled with what my "Fat Bottom Girl" has to offer stock.

It doesn't do much for adding HP as I believe they're just a quality setup for OE specs, but www.jesel.com has GM OHC Roller followers (rockers). Designed to withstand high rpm/power motors, etc..

The Hot Rod mag I saw them in said they have Ecotec, Vortec Straight-6 and Northstar engines covered. Might have to dig into their catalog, or call to find them, but I figure i'd post this up here either ways.

I didn't want to do crazy mods to the car, but at least have something. Hell I was debating on which engine was better... fords 4.6 or gms... I've had both now, and engine wise fords is much better. overall I like the gxp better than my ford but in terms of performance and mods the ford 4.6 wins hands down. honistly take the gxp and put fords dohc engine in and now ya have a car.

I dont see the base level Ford 4.6 as that far ahead of ours. 320 lbs of torque oppsed to 300Lbs for ours in 2005. If I were to have an blank engine wishbook check, my money would go on the Northstar'* new model of it'* supercharged 4.4L. Putting out 469 HP in a 4.4L package raises the bar to a level Ford cant touch cubic inch to cubic inch,...... It actually puts out slightly more HP than even Fords supercharged 5.4L. And they can be tuned by Mallet to over 500HP.

Ford'* Best SC'd 5.4 does 550 in the Ford GT..

The differences between the Mod Motor and the northstar, is that the mod motor is in sports cars, muscle cars, etc, while the northstar is built for more refined sedans. Parts are available because there'* much more demand from mustangs, lightning guys, GT owners, etc...

The 4.6 mod motor was first put into the lincoln mark8 back in 93.. a luxury sports coupe. It wasn't added to mustangs till 96.

How about we get this back on topic. If you have something new in the way of performance to report, or a specific question, then we can move forward.

No problem adolf, No more mods for the gxp has been found, more will come in 2-3 maybe 4 years. and I have a feeling this post will be deleted and maybe I'll be banned for speaking my mind.

Ok, been thinking on this for awhile, while I don't have a GXP, I think in this great country we should have equal modding opportunities. What about putting a FAST EFI system on, once you can control the timing, the rest is cake, right? Then slap a turbo in the and the FAST system will let you tune it. I'm sure it wouldn't be super cheap, but with the 4t80'* in there, it'd be reliable. Good, bad, ugly :?:
