How to Add Horsepower to the 2004 GXP
I'd like to suggest that we use this thread as a blackboard for some of our ideas, and I'll keep updating this first post periodically.
1) K & N Air Filter - part number 33-2063-1. The folks over at Edmunds.com say this is an exact match and will fit our cars. I haven't confirmed this yet, but plan to order one soon.
2) PCM - I don't know how much opportunity there is here, but we'll start working on this one next week, and we should have PCM'* available by the end of June.
3)
4)
5)
OK, let'* hear everyone'* best ideas, so we can start working on this...

Headers would be good, but i think some generic northstar ones should work right?
I'm sure a new cam set would be nice, and keeping the engine cooler will benefit a lot.
Turbo? I know Northstars have been made into 1000 hp beasts....

The Northstar engine has a plastic upper intake manifold...at least mine does :?
FWI, exhaust, headers, enlarged TB, rockers, chip...turbo

In all practicality, a turbo is a bit too much. If going for insane speed it would be fine. For starters, a nice intake, computer chip, rockers, and headers/exhaust package would be very good. And then go from there to see how the car responds to that.

rockers on a dohc jim?
badssei, XMS has been working on a N* supercharger for YEARS, last i heard like 9 months ago they just needed a chip and it should have been out by now. maybe you could contact them, if they abandoned the project, perhaps theyd sell there info/project or somthing, it offer a huge start instead of giong in somewhat blind
also, you'd make alot more money if you made products like headers etc etc that carried over to the cadillacs, and me and jim would be happier if they went to aurora'* too . there are plenty of would be buyers at cadillacforums.com, and the aurora group at edmunds town hall
