I think a modified S1 can hang with a S1 SC, street and track. Especially if both the cars are maintained very well.

Yes, that may be true, but only exhaust and intake? I think not.

Ahh, well at least a S2 can.

Apparently not. I was just discussing the same issue with another member. A S1 L67 spanked his S2 L36. Handily. Again, this is what I would expect.

With all the mods I've done I think I'm putting down about the same amount of power as a stock S1 L67. But I doubt I'd be able to beat one from a dig, on the roll I think it would be pretty even.

When did the club turn into a soap opera?

Guys i think we should all just take a step back from the situation and count backwards from ten. BonneMeMn, you may be right, you may be wrong. None of us here can prove anything untill we run an SLE next to a SSEi. The SLE does have a few things up on an SSEi and an SSEi has a few things up on an SLE. All of the "proof" isn't all necessarily legit. I'm not trying to upset anybody, I'm just suggesting that we stop arguing like little kids here. We are all men here, so let'* act like men.

Agreed. A disagreement is not a personal attack, and it shouldn't be taken that way, yet it was.

Need to add something here.......the N10 muffler was available for a number of years, but the most important point is that the SLE has no performance advantage over the SE whatsoever. Horsepower is the same. Sound is much improved. An SE or SLE with an intake can't outflow it'* exhaust. What we should be discussing here is the L27 vs L67 or the L36 vs L67.

Trim packages aren't an issue.

Sure, a tweaked L36 against a Stock 92/93? I'll buy that.

A 93 L27 with intake and exhaust against a stock 92/93 SSEi? No chance.
