The intake did more then i dreamed, I can't prove anything without dyno or slips, but it'* not worth the effort to prove something to anyone. I know how much my milage went up, and i know how much different the car is without it.

Sorry BonneMeMN done mean to flame on you but I got to call you out on this one!

As long as the idiot driving knew more then to smash the pedal to the floor. There is no way you could take a stock '93 SSEi.

H*** a GTP barely got out a my way at Byron.
Ya because the idiot spun them to 65 MPH.

You were at Byron, the track is down hill! JLAudioEclipse did 16.1 with a completely stock car (besides the Drop-In K&N) in a 80*+ day on a sh*tty track. That is with tires at correct street PSI and real bumps in the back too. You have to ask him to post the times with his mods done!

You are flaming. These are the Facts, if you'd care to dispute them leave it off of this forum please.

The GTP didn't spin them to 65MPH, listen to the video. It was a stock car, it didn't even run near a 14 second pass, which is possible in stock GTP'*. There'* no way it would've spun that long either on a track that was preppared as such.

Byron is an IHRA sanctioned track, it'* been measured to fit conformity, and it is legal for IHRA use, it used to be NHRA as well. The uphill at the end makes it appear that way. If you want to argue this i suggest you take it up with them. I've seen plenty of slower times @ Byron compared to other places as well. Keep in mind the 60' i was pulling on my damn near bald, no name tires.

He didn't do a 16.1 with a stock car, it was similary modded to mine, with spring spacers even! I never resorted to that, as i acheived my goal for the day.

early 90'* SSEi'* have been tested in the mid 16'* in the 1/4 by magazines. It'* a 35 HP difference, and i've got mods, i've also got a weight advantage, and gearing advantage. Or do you have data on a stock '93 ssei?

2000 SSEI data (240 HP. 280 TQ)
http://popularmechanics.com/automoti...ns/print.phtml
1992 SSEi Data
http://eurotuned.com/0-60.htm

1990 w/ Quad 4 is faster then an SSEi , so is a 96 SE.
http://www.ssmoparmuscle.com/speedco...&OORDERDIR=ASC

I don't care what people think of my car. I do not have a goal. I mod my car for driveability, and fun. I'm not trying to be better then anyone, and i hope that my efforts have helped others have fun. The track was great, and i'm glad i had the chance to do what I did. These are the facts here.

Yeah, I noticed a difference in my 93 SSE with the L27 and the 93 SSEi I test drove for fun (my car was in the shop, I needed milk. Walked to the car dealer on the corner, Test drove the car to the grocery store, and back, dropped the milk off and then returned the car. My dad did a similar thing, except he test drove a car from that guy to go over and look at a car at another dealership when i had his car. )

Also, BIG difference in the 93 SSE to 2000 L67 (regal GSE)...

I'd hardly call them facts, I don't mean to flame but if I see something that is not true or I believe to be not true, I not going to sit back and listen to it. Too many people do this on the forum already and I'm not going to be another one!

is there a difference driving them? Yeah, but knowing how to drive your car can sometimes make up for it
So. . . . If he didn't spin them to 65 then the track must of been "prepared as such", We know that), and if a 14 second pass is possible in a stock GTP and he didn't run near a 14 second pass, actually he "barely got outa your way". The only conclusion is that he either had a big problem with the engine (prob. an vac leak, that was bleeding his boost), or he put the cruse control on at 60.(sorry for the lam' pun, more like he didn't pust the car) You can choose!

Ask any of the Big Dogs(INTENSE, ZZP) they will all say that many people run .01-.03 faster and "no one knows why". And none of them will say it is because the track is prepped like mad.

That funny b/c I road to the track with him on that day, so believe me when I say it was stock! With similar mods and spring spacers in a 90*+ day he ran a 16.3. Latter finding out that he had a bad TPS and was only getting something like 80% at WOT. (That can't be a good thing for an ET)

No, I don't have the data on a stock '93 SSEi, I'm sure I could puddle around on the internet and find it. I have drove more then one stock SSEi and I have drove JLAudioEclipse'* “similiarly modded” car and the fact is that his was no way near a SSEi. But just as "confident that you think you could take a Stock 93 SSEi", I'm twice as confident that I could take you in an stock '93 SSEi.

I think you are taking this as a personal attack against you and your car, but it is not in anyway that! And I'm sorry that you do but PLEASE don't take it that way! What you accomplished at Byron was a great thing! I don't think that a Bonneville with your mods has gotten that low of an ET. But just like I said above, "If I see something that is not true or I believe to be not true, I not going to sit back and listen to it.
