Correction: 200,000km'*. Isn't it kind of odd for a 3800 to seize up at only 200,000 clicks? Anyway, I'm glad it wasn't totalled or anything. Round here you can pick up an LN3 and tranny for cheap, I'm sure you won't have too much trouble.

Well as far as I know it hasn't seized yet. I will know more once I get home on Sunday and try to start it.
NO there was no warning, everything was great on the car all seemed normal. At least the car went out in style. Not long before that happened we did manage to hit 170km/h with the car and it ran like a tops it just didn't have the power that my Malibu does to get to 170, then again there has to be at least 1,000 pounds difference between the 2 cars plus it was an uphill( slight)
I know some may say that the run to 170 did it in, but the way I see it, it was on the way out, and this just brought it up a bit earlier. I am glad in a way this happened when it did since i was driving and I have CAA, otherwise Renee would have been driving with no CAA and probably in the middle of nowhere.
I am just waiting for what good is coming out of this, since just about everything that happens that is bad, is for a good reason.
I read this post over and seems to make sense to me, but I just got back from a night out drinking with Renee, Jim, Angela, and Seth, not sure how many drinks I had, but it helped take the edge off of the start of the weekend.
I WILL post more pics of the car along with a couple other vids, but now it is time to go to bed, as tomorrow is another day.
P.*. we went and picked up Jim'* new WINTER BEATER, a 94 SSEI, today I got the drive his Slowora, and Seth'*(smellbird) SLE ( can't remember the year), and tomorrow I get to fly with Jim W'* new (to him) 94 SSEi, I can say that so far I love the Slowora with the magnaflow ( wich I have test driven before) and Seth'* car is great with the mods he has done, along with the HID'*.
Getting really late, and a few to many drinks, tomorrow is another day.

That sound sure is familiar and if it'* what I think it is, you shouldn't have anything major to worry about. It sounds like a bad harmonic balancer to me. Does the sound quiet down significantly or go away totally if the engine is Revved up at all?

That is no harmonic balancer, I had one go out on it before and it was a different sound, similar but different. At least when the rpms went up the sound went away. This time no matter the rpms it just knocks more quickly.
I wish it was that simple, it was definitely something internal.

OK, got some pics now.
The trip started like any other trip, I was shotgun for the first half, ( not by choice). Typical Canadian, wheel in one hand, Tim Hortons in the other.
Here is Seth ( smellbird) bringing up the rear ( glad he decided to travel with us).
Then with about an hour left in the trip we managed to limp to a parking lot, I didn't grab any pics of the side of the road, since it was not the safest place for us to be.( see video posted earlier)
We had to wait for an hour for the tow truck to show up, But what comes looking around ( probably for us)
No worries, false alarm, the real guy showed up
It was a rough beginning to the weekend, So it required multiple drinks last night.
Of course Jim W, had to visit us when we got to the hotel earlier in the day, nice bathroom eh!
.
Here is a more painful video than the first one.( right click and save target as)
I also droped the quality to make the file size smaller.

BUT I did feel better after driving Jim'* Slowora back from picking up his new ride ( Jim is leading)
