Figured I would give a quick update. Tonight was/is a night off from the car, I did get a friend over and we put the hood back on, see

Remember I mentioned about striking oil with that oil leak, have a look ( don't mind the strut towers, that is rubberized undercoating), even oil on the air filter box, dammit.

and the windsheild

Can someone tell what these parts are and where they go?? I can't for the life of me remember. Especially that heavier black steel piece, that looks important, the other one I believe was just a place to zip tie wires to.

That sounds about right for the thin bracket on the right. But that heavy one still has me stumped. Maybe someone with a similar year can have a look for that heavy steel bracket/shield.
And possibly take a pic of where it belongs.

Finally got that oil leak plugged ( changed my timing chain cover). Got the car running. But now I find that it turns over for a few second before it will fire up. When I first dropped that engine in, it fired with half a crank. Also there is still a miss in it, but I hope all those problems are related and it is just dirty injectors.

On a side note, I drove it around for a bit today then let Renée drive it, so I could get back home and wanted to see what she thought. She said that from a take off, it is more responsive, as she put it, it has more "pep". Not sure if that has to do with the new engine or the Delco upgrade with the 97+ SC coils on it.

Anyhow, here is a quick vid I took. I was by myself so I used my fence to hold my digital camera. I did edit it for length and size.

Enjoy, right-click save target as.
