Paul, the high-mount light is a PITA. Lay in the trunk to get it, and wear surgical gloves. The black goop is horrible.

Get that JB Weld off that EGR pipe. If even one little piece breaks off, you'll ruin your EGR valve, and they don't come cheap either. Car doesn't need to run that well now anyway, right?

I had to replace that part 2 years ago on the Zilla. I got it from the dealer at that time. Unfortunately, it'* a crimped tube and not easily replaced.

Paul, let me know about a week before you get back and I'll have the FSM and scanner in Powell River waiting for you.

I got the high mount light out of the socket but the bulb will not come out of the socket. :?

Well the good news.....if there is any good news with this whole Grizz story......is it fired up first crack and is purring like a Bonne should be.

So I can rest now and eat my cheese cake content with the knowledge for the next 6 weeks that this Bonne with rest in peace sitting untouched in the car port while my son saves up his money to pay me off and buy his insurance for hopefully a fun filled summer of driving pleasure.
He knows he needs to stay on the Principals Honour Role and graduate grade 11 for his upcoming final year of high school before this car takes him away to his freedom away from home at University.

You cannot delete the EGR without a custom burned PCM, and you don't want to. You need the EGR to manage combustion temps.

The first 1000 kms is critical to properly breaking in the engine. The break in instructions are also to vary speeds and not to exceed 100 kph (60 mph) for the first 500 km or one full tank of fuel
Our plan was to break it in on the drive down to WCBF08 in Oregon but that isn't until the end of July and I don't think he will wait that long so we will have to do what I did to break my Firebird in proper when it was new.

We have 20 miles of highway south and 20 miles north......so back and forth about 6 times ought to do it.

And then he'll change the oil and drive real easy for the next 500 km or full tank of fuel.
We have 92 and 94 octane. It currently has 3/4 of a tank of 91 octane in it. I'll top it off with 94 octane.

The paint finish leaves a little to be desired. It had been previously Diamond Coated. I think this is like some kind of hard coating but the hood looks blotchy like little scabs of clearcoat speckling it. It might have to be professionally done.......at Bill'* this summer.

Oh, One other thing is not functioning. Both front seats don't recline. All other seat functions work. These seats are way better than my 00 Bonne. I love the moveable side bolsters. :P

The under hood light also does not work. The bulb is fine but no power to it. :?

Its got some nice Dunlop Z rated 225 16" tires that have one more season left on them, if he is careful not to burn them off. I showed him the flimsy transmission housing where the diff is located and warned him what could happen if he is too aggressive in the corners with one wheel spinning.......like some people here have experienced.

Well that'* it. I rotated the tires and inflated to 33 psi, checked the A/C refridgerant and all fuses are good. Doors are locked and keys are in my suitcase.

12 more hours and I'm history for 6 weeks. Can't promise I will have much time to spend on this site so Hasta la vista baby

Seats? You'll have to remove them both. Lube the screws while you apply power to the recline pins on the harness with a battery charger. I did that to the Zilla last year. They get gummed up.

That can happen here too if the recline position isn't too bad for now.
