well guys, it'* hopeless. Tried boosting it with tara'* jeep.. and it didn't work out. It kept stalling the jeep, even if we revved it up to 2.5k. it would just bog down and stall. Not quite sure why, i didn't cross wires or anything.. but her alt is weak to begin with, so i didn't want to hur tanything. My mom'* car is apparently 6v too.. how fucked up is that? I was thinking of using her car tonight, but it'* weird.. 6v in a 2004? Did i maybe measure wrong?

I've never heard of a modern car being 6v. If anything, the trend would be higher, not lower voltage.
I doubt that you'll have any better luck jumping than you did before though. If anything is going to work, I think you'd need to find a big vehicle, with a big engine, and a big alternator. Stalling out a Jeep is proof of that (unless you did something very wrong).
Everstart: Don't those have a decent warranty? Any time left on that? If not, I'd suck it up and get a new battery...

big engine? hahaha.. 100hp 4cyl are the norm here.. tara'* jeep [4L 6cyl] is one of the bigger ones around.
The battery has a 3 year warranty, but you need the receipts and of course i don't have that.. so i am just going to suck it up and pick up a new one.

Why are you having such a big problem boosting the car? My Bonne was boosted after sitting 4 years with a completely crap battery (it sat for 4 years as well) by a 1984 Plymouth Voyager, and twice more by an '02 explorer. Is there something I'm missing?

i'm not trying to start my car.. i'm trying to boost my battery to the point where it will take a charge from my charger. that way it won't hurt my alternator. but it didn't work out.. so i'm just going to buy a new battery. And trust me, there is a difference between a crap battery and a dead battery. you probably had voltage from it, i don't have ****. literally, the battery reads .05v now

The Wal Mart Batteries are made by Johnson controls, same company that makes the Die Hard battery...
The Everstart thats in your car now is a good battery... Usually Wal-Mart will put a reciept in a pouch on the side of the battery... I think the battery in you car has a 3 or 4 years free replacement...
Mine are 2 - 4 years old now... The 95'* is 2 years old, and the 91'* is 4 years old.... Neither have let me down... I have a 950amp in the 91, and an 870( I think ) 78S ... some strange designation for south.. High heat I think... Starts the car like no tomorrow
The 92 Mitsubishi has a 4 year old everstart too... And even after sitting for a month it still started right up...
But if a battery sits for a prolonged period of time without being charged, its possible for the battery to crapp out in a short amount of time... I'm almost thinking that you have a dead cell in the battery...
Have any friends with an extra side post battery around? I think even 600 amps will start a 3800... I thing 700 is said to be the minimun for a replacement...

hey now, where is the damn airbox hmmmmmmmm? you know i actually knew someone that drove a buick park ave with no airbox/hose, the engine eventually started running like **** so this dealer has it now lol
