With the motor out and half apart.. I think things will go well.

Only real hurdle I see is the HB bolt.

Nice things are that the motor is out..half apart and nearly ready for the install of the parts.

TJ.. if you can stuff with string today..I think we'll be ready to run..

Just recieved a phone call from Bill... He is on his way but somehow forgot his spring compressor lol. Says it is just a minor setup back and we are going to hit sears once he gets here. So i am off to the garage and may return tonight to put some pics up but i am unsure at this point.

...... end of the first night (only spent about a few hours actually working)........

Tore motor the rest apart....
New cam in, front cover, ect on, half the springs on.....

Drove my first boosted car..... Definently L67 swapping the black one, and probably doing headers and a cam . It has been a few hours since i drove it and i am still smiling ear to ear. But realized i am not all that good at launching a boosted car, or even punching it anywhere under about 50 lol

Oh yea and i will let Bill tell you about the magnet and zippy tie (dont worry his story will be much better then mine lol)

Getting up early to finish the actual motor and then maybe grabbing some breakfast and then putting it in. Only bad news is we were so diticated we didnt take many pics. But the ones we did, i will post when we are finished.

"Diticated?" Is that like a mix of "ditzy" and "intoxicated?"

HAHA

Well........ Motor is toast, Bill Hydro locked it. (along with his dropped valve yesterday, but he fixed that, that sly little F***)

J/P, was hydrolocked but not cause of bill (i totally forgot the TB gasket, with all the running around and what not and being the first time i have every opened up a motor lol) (laugh again Bill)(some bud, suppose to have my back), but with a crank it spit the water out. Everything is great (car running wise). Runs excellent, sounds mean. 2 oil changes down, one more tomorrow, swapping exhaust off of black car (i think this cat is plugged bad, and will explain more when i have more time), also doing new wires (these ones are the old ones, since i broke a new one and NAPA was closed. Only bad news is the 15.7 degrees (sounds real bad, but i am sure we can fix it) of knock from about 5200-5950. But i think it is a combination of the (i believed) clogged cat, old wires and PCM saying what the F*** is all this new air.

Let'* just say I dont mind being NA now but, i do really like Bill'* setup (ok i said it Bill lol). I can not wait to L67 swap the black bonne.

Glad to hear that you guys got it to crank over.

That'* a lot of KR. Be gentle until you (or the car...whichever comes first) figures out what is going on.

Yea we got everything together and in and went to start it.......Nothing, i think it took i just as long to figure out why, then it did to actually put the motor in lol. But we got it, (just a bad connection on the ground)
