So im looking at these two auctions:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting
And what makes me curious is that they both appear to be the same (other than tube length) yet priced differently. Whats up with that?

second one doesnt have a k&n filter, but is made for series 1
get the second one and then get a performance k&n filter, and then build your heat shield

First, use the K&N RX-4750 filter. It has a good base for mounting a heat shield, and provides a hole for the optimum IAT location in the base of the filter (or a good spot for Methanol injection )
This filter will make things ALOT easier when it comes time to mount your heatshield. Now fab up a template with cardboard and tape. When you have it right, buy some clear acrylic sheet from Home Depot, and put it all together.
Reference my sig pic. Anyone still have any shots of my filter back mounting? They're around here somewhere.

It looks like you only need to box in the sides of the filter and have the heat shield attached to the pipe, correct?
Is the angle of the pipe anything to consider or just simply put it behind the headlight?
