Intake option (Rice Pipe) Read entire thread b4 asking q?
okay this is gonna sound REALLY stupid.... wheres the IAT on my engine?
Vin 3 ...3.8 1986 delta88
I took a quick look earlier today... and I thought it was maybe that small pipe in the rubber part of the intake... but that pipe is attached to the head ... I'm at a lose ... but I haven't really looked that hard or traced any lines...

It should be a sensor with a couple of wires coming out of it somewhere between the air box and the throttle body. Usually in the intake tube or hose or whatever you wanna call it
it bothered me that I hadn't found it before ... so I went out and had a good look.... it'* in a corner of the airbox
heres another not so silly question... would it be worth while to relocate the MAF to the filter end of a CAI of the same style you guys have done? (I know the IAT should be put in the filter)
and... does anyone KNOW what that pipe going to the intake pipe is for??? goes from pipe to head... I know it sounds like alot of stupid questions... but I'm not car illiterate ... I just don't know where to find alot of this specific info... and I'm having a little trouble getting ahold of a manual for my delta

The MAF sensor is actually up in the Throttle Body on "our" engines. Don't know if moving it would be a good idea or not.
You have a picture of this extra tube you're talking about? It almost sounds like the PCV valve tube on a Ford carbed engine...

The 86 is a fuelie right? You should have both, i've seen other cars with the MAF further from the TB. LS1'* for example have it infront of the TB, or before the elbow if they have a 90* bend.
