I know that feeling. The 3400 top swap would be cool though. You should try to find the 3400 plastic engine cover. It would clean up the looks of the engine bay a lot, and it would confuse anyone who looks under the hood haha.

I never even knew the 3400 had an engine cover. I may just paint the upper plenum.

I don't think it came on the cars, but some vans came with it. I'm not too sure how common they are. I have yet to see one in the JY here.

I had a set of nightshaded side turn markers. Well that sat around for years, and I dropped one and chipped a piece off. So tonight I decided I'd work one of them a bit.

This is the one currently on the car. It has these raised letters on the top edge. I removed those on the one I am tinting.

The corner that was broken. I used a piece of plexiglass and glued it back in. Then I sanded it smooth.

I wet sanded off most of the old tint.

Thank you! I have one more to remove those raised letters on, but thankfully that one doesn't have any chips or cracks in it I need to repair first.

The nice thing about this is it has a magnet on the back and you can stick it all over the engine bay and have light. Even the retractor reel still works. I have heard that is common thing to break.
