So what would have happened if you had no insurance :?: (cut it off and be done with it )

.......you are so lucky you didn't break your back, neck or head.

I have insurance its several times what is required I'm thinking 200,000/400,000/??? something like that, but since i dont have full use of my leg it could cause a law suit. before I drive in the city I MUST get something safe. its idaho....you see 12 year olds driving farm trucks around on the highways

Hans! Buddy... while I admire your diligence to do the American thing, Dude!! You could do more damage! There'* not much holding your nerves and what-not together.... I would think that even the slight movements that you did could potentially tear something up more. It'* not worth it, Spudboy!

Unbelieveable pics...can't wait for the hair to grow back in, huh? <itch itch itch>...take it from someone who knows. While many folks would love to become famous, a landmark medical case is usually not the first option....but you have always been the unique one <remember the pics taken sitting in the middle of the road>.

Hang in there buddy!

as far as the nerves being held in, my neurologist actually recomended flexing the knee as much as possible, as did the orthopedic surgeon, i'm 2 weeks after surgery, the nerve repair has "slack" in it so I can move in several directions. the splint makes sure the knee does not get dislocated.

an accident however would be fatal for the repairs. this is why i'm not going to drive for a while. Today I wanted to see if it was possible, and it is. Thats good enough for me.

I basically hung up on Spuds since I remember driving to Oregon with him .. he does not have a headset.

Yes folks..he called me while driving with one hand and one good foot.

I'm still thinking his potato has been baking too long.

Keep improving!

No mother-henning here, just be careful. Glad you got out to vote, this election may be the most important mid-term in history.

BTW, watch your sodium intake from all those TV dinners. Those things can do you like Lot'* wife, and high sodium levels aren't great for healing.

So Hans, you haven't gotten the surgeons bills yet?

They are seperate bills here, one from the Dr'* group and one from the hospital...
It wouldn't surprise me to see another 20k Dr bill.

hans,

life is too crazy right now for me to be in the club much, but i did want to throw you my support and encouragement. your attitude is great...but def. give your bod a chance to repair itself. a little overdoing now, could mean alot of prob. in the future. those of us that sound like we are nagging are only being good family members
