Default dim headlights

I have realized for a long time that the headlights on my 94 S10 seemed very dim, but since I don't drive it much at night I haven't bothered to replace them. But after driving home last night in the rain I realized it'* time to think about replacing the bulbs with a brighter bulb. I have been told that some of the newer brighter bulbs can be problematic and not last very long.
Also the windshield wipers on this vehicle suck and always have. I'm constantly replacing blades that don't last more than one year at best. I'd like to upgrade these as well, even if it means new arms as well, but clueless as to what else to get. I would sure appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

Do you have sealed beam headlights or composite headlights?

It appears to be a sealed bean halogen. It also just occurred to me that these bulbs have never been changed which may be the reason they are so dim.

The bulbs are likely 4666 . There are plenty of options on Amazon for conversion housings, whether it be projectors, halogen, HID, etc.

You can also look in to the conversion to later generation Blazer headlights (97-99 if memory serves) that seem popular, and use 9006/9005 bulbs (which can also have 9011/9012 swapped in).

Or you could pop in stock replacements and probably still have a noticeable difference.

Thanks rjolly, I think for my purposes the 4666 will work. I just purchased a pair of sylvania
Extravision 4666. Supposed to be a little brighter than stock. We,ll see. I think the others have just dimmed over the years.

Also, check connections and wiring. I am not sure how the S10 is configured, but many of GM'* vehicles of the era often benefited from wiring and relay harness modifications.
