Default New Pioneer does not dim when headlights are on.

The display does not dim when I turn on the headlights. I double checked to make sure I have the DIM option turned on, and it is. Does anyone else have this problem? And how do you correct it. System is a Pioneer DEH-P47DH.

You need to hook it up to a lead in the dash. You wire the lead named "Illuminate" (i believe it'* orange) to the dash light setup. That way it knows when the lights are on, on the dash.

The dim feature is nice, except when it'* dusk, and your lights are on, and you get sun on the deck.

The deck is great. This one has the alarm, detachable face, subwoofer and pre-amp output. Great sound from the stock speakers. I will get them swapped out later, but for now the sound is just fine. It fits in the dash without a face plate and has a host of features. I would recommend it to anyone.
