Do you mean the BTSI solenoid?

Default Solenoids Location on 2011 Chevy Impala V6 LTZ

Not really sure ...

It'* the Transmission Shift Lock Solenoid & Transmission Solenoid .

I keep getting a jerking every now & then and sometimes the car accelerates very slow and then resumes to speed. There are no issues with the Gears Manually or auto ( meaning the vehicle goes in P, R, N, D, L 1-2 with no issues . I have replaced the AC Module & Throttle Body. I have been unable to locate a diagram of the Solenoid in or by the transmission. When I called the Dealership they stated internal location and $136.00 for diagnostics. ( shaking my Head) . I believe that I can install it myself just need a picture of transmission

I believe you have a 4T65E transmission....

Have you checked for transmission codes? Many times, when a transmission codes is set, the TCM will default to full line pressure causing harsh shifts....

There is no such thing as a transmission lock solenoid......about the closest thing to that idea is the BTSI solenoid, which prevents the tranny from being shifted out of park, if you don't have your foot on the brake....

The solenoids in the tranny, are located under the transmission side cover, which is not easy to remove, especially if you don't have a lift...it involves partially dropping the cradle, while holding the transmission up, removing the drive axle on driver'* side, and creating sufficient room, just to remove that side cover....

Inside are the shift A and B solenoids, the TCC solenoid, the Pressure Control solenoid, etc.

A transmission code should lead you in the right direction....but remember, you are taking a guess if you think replacing a solenoid, the code is named after, will fix your problem....the code points to the whole circuit, and what the circuit affects.....without proper diagnosis, BEFORE taking the tranny apart, is foolish....you only want to do this once, because of the work involved in getting to these parts...

I also have an '11 LTZ that jerks now and then pulling out from a traffic light or a rolling stop. Problem is that it is intermittent. Took it to the dealer and they didn't feel it ($160 diagnostic). Seems to be getting worse, getting ready to go back before the extended warranty runs out. Could it be the pressure solenoid?

I would check for transmission codes.....

And if you can create the "concern" while driving yourself, get the tech in the passenger seat, and have him take a "snapshot" with the Tech II....
