If it'* heat related just grab a hair dryer or heat gun and start warming things up. Did you verify the fuse block don't have green death on the underside?
sorry about the long hiatus, had a lot of work to do. I waited for a good cold night (59F) and I pointed my little electric heater at the PCM under the dash and the problem came back with a vengeance. I'm convinced the problem is under the dash.
When I scan the car I get no codes. I haven't tried to scan it while the problem is occurring though, I imagine that any codes would be stored though right?
If it coded it will store the code into memory. The tool you are using to retrieve codes probably only reads the PCM and only the public (generic) codes. You need a better scan tool to read the other modules.

I would pull the module and warm it directly. If it fails it'* likely a bad solder joint. We fixed a lot of modules by removing the cover and soldering all the grounds and any bad looking joints. Just be sure to use heat syncs where needed.

heat sinks? like besides the one that'* permanently attached to the computer?
I had a friend of mine look at it, He had had a similar issue with his monte carlo, the terminals inside the ignition switch were charred completely black. Needed to be disassembled and cleaned, the car hasn't had a problem since then. My car thanks you for your help in the diagnosis process.
