They're tight...but I did find a loose wire. I followed one of the wires down to the starter, and it'* loose. You can wiggle it around. I tried getting to it, but I can't quite figure out what size it is. I could not get a socket on it.
I didn't jack up the front end at all, and the lighting wasn't the greatest, so I am gonna try again tomorrow, weather permitting.
Anyone know what size the nut is that holds the wires on?
You think I will have to lift the motor up to get better access?

lifting the car on jack stands would probably be easier....the wire that grounds on the block near the starter is 10mm, the small one on the starter i think is 8mm, and idk what the main positive one is on the battery...7/16?

Make sure you disconnect the battery before you tighten it, if it'* a positive wire.

This won't help your stalling issue but it should hopefully fix the starting issue.

Thanks. I do plan on using jack stand once it'* up. Never even been close to anything happening, but I have heard stories. I think something happened to a few people on here.

OK, regarding the oil pressure issue. My father in law talked to the mechanic he does some work for (just for the record, the mechanic is too expensive, and my father-in-law is getting old and can only with with the easier stuff) and he said it could be the gauge, that you can buy a kit form like AutoZone for like $15 that goes to your oil filter and up under your dash that would replace or fix or whatever the gauge. Anyone heard of this???

On the battery cables. At the block IIRC the bolt for the ground was a 13mm...or a 10mm (I must be getting old like WillWren..I removed this only two days ago). The starter is 8mm for the soleniod wire and 13mm or 15mm for the power lead from the battery. Be careful not to overtighten and snap the soleniod.

SO, whta'* the best way to get at this? I had a heck of a time last night. As I siad, last night I didn't lift up the car, plan on putting it on jack stands tonight. Would it be easier to puul the starter??...is there eonough slack in the wires that I will be able to see them better?
Any thoughts? Any thing else I should check while I am down there?
