ok against my advice and all of yours she had her kids do the ICM and car is the same as before, she didnt wanna listen to ya'll about the code being cam sensor she went by what autozone said and a cpl other people she talked to. So now she wasted 100 dollars on the ICM maybe she learned a lesson to listen to the right people, just don't understand why autozone said ICM when 41 is clearly a cam sensor unless they working on commission.
I looked up the procedure for the cam sensor replacement and is it just one bolt for the sensor?

when car is running it runs awesome but when not running is not running at all, when running can drive to store and wont restart for 1/2 hr, or driving down the road will just shut off, so car never runs like crap just ddoesnt run when happens

http://padgett.ws/cars/cammag.htm

heres the link on how to check/fix the cam sensor magnet, not sure if its been posted or not

also, on the code 41, i had it tested and both autozone () and a trusted mechanic said it could also be the icm, but i guess that has already been established

Yes, It could be the ICM. But testing should alway be before replacing. The only true test for an intermittant ICM is to replace it. Not a good first choice.

I just went to a nearby member'* house to fix a similar issue. Autozone had tested their ICM as bad, and sold them a new one.

I replaced a FUSE when I got there, and the car would not fire with the new ICM from AZ. I had him reinstall his OLD ICM which Autozone claimed was bad, and the car starts and runs perfectly again.

Moral of the Story? Autozone is the worst possible place on the planet to go for automotive advice or parts. This isn't an isolated case at all.

Keep in mind the cam sensor signal actually passes through the Crank sensor on the way back to the ICM/PCM.
