OP, Pull the codes.

We had NO CODES.
No sign at all.
No 'Service Engine Soon'.
Nothing.

THAT WAS ON TOPIC, ...
That had everything to do with the problem at hand.

No, It wasn't. The topic is wheelcm38'* car and helping get it fixed at the lowest price. Not what happened that one time to your car. Testing the car will determine the problem without shotgunning parts and wasting his money. Furthermore, The crank sensor is a "home job" that has been completed with minimal tools and even less experience by many members on this club. This obviously shows that you know less than the average gearhead about this car and it'* likely malfunctions. Any competant mechanic will test components before replacing them, which had already been suggested before you posted. Therefore your post was already unrequired and your further posts have soured the attitude of this thread. You put in your $0.02. Now be quiet while the big boys diagnose it.

Since the Check Engine light is on, there will be one or more codes present.
Keeping your limitations in mind, checking the codes is something that could be done if you have a helper. There is a good article here somewhere about how to do it.

Concerning your flat, I know you are an avid Wal Mart shopper. Next time you are there, look in the automotive department for a small portable air compressor that plugs in the cigar lighter. I have one I paid around ten dollars for that has saved my bacon more than once. Every time I use it, and I have used it a lot, I think of how it has paid for itself many times over. And it is much easier than the hand pump I used to carry.
