Update: Project Frankenbonne
On the stretcher ready to go to the OR.

The good news is that the oil pressure sender/switch from the LN3 fit so I think the oil pressure gauge will read accurately. There are only two wires in the connector instead of 4 so the 97s must not have a low oil pressure shutdown feature. I'll haven't decided if I will adapt this feature to the new drivetrain.
Still trying to find the right fuel sender that will work with the gauge though.

He didn't haul it away...he dropped it off at my place tonight. Right now I'm out in the garage pulling the motor on my mower. Anyone think he'll notice I swapped his L67 for my 16hp mower engine?

Update from 6/7
Ok..My new lawn tractor motor arrived! My buddy John was on hand to help with the unload. (Notice who took the easy job again...shooting the pics!)

Garage is ready and prepped for delivery

I was looking at this current setup and dimensions... I might have a little trouble, the radiator is a little big to fit under the hood

And hmmm converting to FWD won't be too bad..but the exhaust coming off the back of the L67 might need to be modded also (from 16hp to 240hp)

And here'* John saying..You guys are nuts

Hopefully the heat breaks...and the car gets back quick from the shop.

This humidity has GOT to stop! It was another two shrit day. I got a little more accomplished today than I thought I would.
As expected, the 97 subframe mounted directly to the 90.

The control arms were added and the axles removed once the wheels were on the ground in order to transport to the auto body shop to have the unibody fixed. I have also decided to get the engine bay sandblasted and repainted taking full advantage of the empty bay.

Look what I found! The 90 has provisions for the torque axis mount already. I checked the 89 parts car and it did not have the provisions. It'* great to be lucky cause I really don't know how I was going to measure and attach the TAM. Since the holes were not filled with bolts, I had to re-tap the threads removing 15 years of rust and crud.

I'm running out of clean shirts at Bill'* so I did some laundry;

Lastly, I think I have the worlds only Bonneville Chia Pet.,
