UPDATE: 6/5/5
After seeing some comments last night from some drunks in the MN area..lol we decided to get crackin on this project. The weather turned from highs in the 60'* to about 90 with tons of humidity overnight. You can see proof of this by looking at Randy (I'm never working, always have to work the camera. Nice low sweat job)
Randy soaked in 1/2 hour of getting to my place
Oh boy..what'* that popping outta the ...hey there'* no hood...only a hoist pulling a motor
Nearly out..time to take some pics..Lakeville...how much clearance from the power steering did you say there was?
Plenty!!!
Free and clear of the engine bay...NA days are over for this car
Final resting place til it'* picked up and hauled away... Anyone need a 3.8L? Randy might part it out...
The sub frame had to be pulled out for our project. The frame from the 97 will bolt right up and then motor and tranny mounts will be perfect.
I wonder if this qualifies as 1/2 apart? It'* empty in there
And for all those EPA loving MN guys...here'* a little something we have on the east coast
More pics and verbage tomorrow...keep checking back.

Another two shirt day. Man, what a difference a shower makes!
We ran into a problem with one of subframe bolts. The threaded insert for the subframe bolt broke loose inside the unibody so the bolt just turned and turned... wouldn't come out. Bill took care of that problem with a 9" grinder, couple of pry bars and some muscle. The problem is that that part of the unibody will need repair.
The game plan is to bolt up the 97 subframe so we have a rolling chassis and have Ron tow it to the auto body shop. Looks like a 1 week and couple hundred $$ set back but it will give me time to do a little work on the engine before it goes in.
I need more beer and Ben Gay. It'* tough to get old.
