OH, here'* a good question for you! Since I will be swapping in a 3100 fuel rail, will I loose the higher fuel pressure that the TGP'* had? I don't know what the fuel pressure is, but I know it makes the yellow top 19lb/hr flow 24lb/hr.

Should I swap over the FPR?

never happened. the 3x00s have been 4T60E, 4T40, 4T45, 4T65, but nothing else. always an -E tranny.

the early 3x00 TBs do have some odd linkage/bracket though, i believe they can be used with a TV cable....

TGPs ran at 43.5PSI static... that'* the same as the pre-2000 3x00s. if boost was applied to the FPR, then fuel pressure would go up, but at the exact same rate as in-manifold pressure, so it would still be the same flowrate.

and 24 lb/hr at 55PSI at 43.5PSI = 21.3PSI...

can you make the 00-up fuel rails work? that FPR is also 55PSI.

I cannot make the 3500 fuel rail work because it doesn't have a return line. I can however grab a fuel rail off of a 3400. Does it have to be 2000+ though?

00+ 3x00s are 55PSI, up to 99 are 43.5PSI

so, if you grab an older one, the FPR is going to lower injector flowrate substantially. i'm not sure if the FPRs are in any way interchangable though....

2000+ it is then. It will be a little hard to find a 3x00 that new at a PaP yard though. I might actually go spend money.

For your viewing pleasure, a picture of the turbo I MIGHT buy sitting next to the stock T25 that came on the car.

I got very... VERY lucky today. Earlier last year, I helped a buddy build a megasquirt2 for his camaro. He'* going to sell the car now and I GET THE MEGASQUIRT!

YAY ME!

Now I don't have to buy a external crank trigger saving me $150. AAAANNNNDDD I now have unlimited tuning capabilities.

i wouldn't call MS unlimited... sure, you can access everything, but you can do the same thing with the proper XDF for tunerpro to tune the TGP code.

IMO: MS does NOT belong on a street-driven vehicle, or only on something that has worse capabilities from the factory, something it does not have over the TGP ECM.
