I got back into the wiring, the harness that carries the 2 wires going to the compressor had two other wires that were nicked up enough to cause intermittent shorts, but the two wires going to the compressor were fine, I tried to ohm it out, but it is tough to get leads on, looked like 3.4 ohms or so, so it seems good as far as that goes.'
There is also two wires in that same loom that go to the oil pan sensor, and one other that had a butt connector, so I had to have spliced it to something back when the squirrels ate the wiring up, but I could see nothing in the area it could connect to at all, the funny thing is when I stripped a tad it looks single stranded and aluminum, checked it and it showed like .30 mv'*, I have no idea what it could go to...
Ac compressor still not working, still wet out or I'd be out there now.

Looking forward to what you find when it dries up!

Well, good news I suppose, and not good news, lol
I can give the compressor power, and the clutch will engage..
But when I run the car, turn the ac to high, I get just mv'* from the wire that should be 12v right?
It is like 135mv'*, so something must be stopping else must me stopping it, the low pressure side looks ok, but I did not rent any tools to check the high side yet, could the high side be high even if the low side is low?
Wonder if it could be a high or low side sensor...
May have to take it to an AC place, but I don't have a grand to spend, and I am not trying to renew everything, just get the air on again for a summer or two until I get a new vehicle..

You're talking about the wire that goes to the clutch? . . . or the one that comes from the clutch? . . . or some other wire?

My bad, yeah the wire going to the clutch, I only have one set of connectors going to the compressor that I can see, which is the ones going to the clutch coil..
I thought about making a new thread, as now the sensor works.
I am considering taking it to a shop to flush and fill it, but if there is some other electrical issue I have not found, then 200.00 spent on that would be a waste right?
Pretty sure this AC system is the same one from when the car was made in 2006..

Amazing it has lasted this long if it is original.

I don't know enough yet to say whether it would be a good time for a flush and fill, except to say that if you otherwise don't have a good reason for a flush and fill then it'* probably not necessary until you know the electrical bugs are worked out.

Good point, I am wondering if maybe the high side got too high or low, and maybe the high side has an issue.
I found a kit for 125.00 that will let me service the system, and see what the pressure is on the high side.

Do you think if the wore came off of my front knock sensor that it could cause the AC not to be commanded on?
I think I figured out were that singular stranded wire goes to, pretty sure it came off of my knock sensor.
I guess I'll have to jack it back up to see, because I cannot see it from the top, exhaust manifolds in the way..
Looking at the wire it is one I repaired before, looks like my repair job was subpar.

Knock sensor wire was the one dangling, broke off with only an inch of wire, so I had to open up the connector and add wire/solder it to the connector pin, then put the pin back in the plug, not sure if it wall have anything to do with the AC, but I did read it was possible for it to limit some climate control functions if not working...

I don't think it would restrict AC for a knock sensor. That'd probably depend the version of code in the PCM though . . . and 2006 was one of those in-betweeny years when they were starting to do stuff like that.
