Please explain why GM dumped the EGR on the 90-92 3800 TPI and 89-93 3300 Motors.. Only to add the EGR back onto the TPI 3800 for 93...

The 3300 was dropped for the 94 model year...

Now keep in mind, Compression wise, Head and Valve wise the L67 and L27 used the same parts( series I )...

Chatting with Bill.... Got the rear head off the engine and all of the pistons and vlaves look great... No chipping or burnt valve thus far... Suspect a failed lifter as the cause of the issues... More to come later

Everything looks great. Nothing out of the ordinary. Looks like it came out of the factory 200 miles ago.

What is a normal amount of cylinder wall scoring for your mileage?

That'* the only cylinder that has any. You can't feel it. The flash brings it out. My compression checked to within 3% across all 6 just before shutdown in November, and that cylinder (#1) wasn't the lowest. I'll have to go find my numbers.

I ask because my dad'* 89 C/K2500 had a little worse scoring on one cylinder, just enough to just barely feel it. It didn't hold much compression... and it happened fairly quickly. At around 125k.

And how bout that LIM?
