Ressurecting a slightly dusty topic. Time hasn't been good to me lately, but recent events are spurring me on. Hope to be done by sometime in April or May. Lot'* of work still needs to be done after teardown.
Things look great on the front bank. Cylinder walls, valves, pistons, and cam lobes are all in GREAT shape.

Yes, the heads are getting some TLC.
Mike, VICE GRIPS ON THE VALVES? Are you INSANE? These valves will go another 100k on this engine. Besides, I'm not leaving tools attached to my heads.

Motor looks nice for 115k of hell and back. I like the almost total absence of carbon on that middle piston. At least it doesnt look that thick in the pic
