Not much will be accomplished tomorrow. Heading up to FIE for most of the day. Katie is babysitting Chris'* baby while Chris and I get caught up with injectors. I'll re-flow mine, and we'll be putting a matched set of injectors together for PeterG. We have 18 injectors already in the pool to clean, rebuild, and flow check. I'll take a few pics and vids like I did last time. Part of this will be determining if I had an injector problem on #6. I still haven't found a reason for that plug nearly disintegrating. I'm actually HOPING to find a bad injector.

Pedestals, rockers, bolts, and valve covers will hopefully be going on sometime tomorrow night. Valve covers dependent on me finishing my wire retainers.

After that, it'* time to get the LIM and SC ported and polished. One full day for that, and it might just be Sunday.

Do you use any sort of pre lube on the lifters, or do you just use oil? I was under the assumption that there was a pre lube that was supposed to be used. Or is that only for the bearings?

Well usually you put them in engine oil and let them fill up before installing.

Prelube is never a bad idea for anything that will move. Yes, you let lifters soak in oil to allow them to semi-pump up (full pump won't happen until the engine'* running), but the oil that is on the outside of the lifter (and inside the bore) will drip down over time if the engine isn't started in due time. That'* where the prelube comes in handy.

They've been soaking in oil since late December. In fact, dillcc saw them soaking on his western circle tour. This was the same vat of oil and parts that the Satan Kitten that I was babysitting fell into on Xmas.

But I ALSO used GM cam and lifter pre-lube. All contact and pivot points. Each point will get another drop or two just before the LIM goes on.

Bagging them up for a 20-minute drive to FIE. When we had these done originally a couple years ago, I had only my original OEM 6. Since then, I've given FIE 6 more for the pool, as have others.

Sadly, some of my little friends may not be coming back home today. Some may go to PeterG depending on how the matching works. The set I come home with today MAY sacrifice matching (I'm at 0.8% right now) for a slightly higher flowing set. Depends on how all the pool injectors test out. PeterG will get the best match we can come up with.

Things seem to be progressing nicely. Like everyone else, here, I can't wait to hear it up and running.
