I think that when you get ready to fire it up you invite a few of us locals down to celebrate the birth of a beast.

By the way bill, does Zilla get respect everywhere?

There was a highway sign with Zillah posted recently, and about a year ago a Zilla Street. I can't find those topics now. :(

Rockers? Haro photoshopped that for me. Suckers. Thought I'd toss in a little fake teaser.

BBQ paint? Hard to get a good picture of it, but it'* a rather textured hard finish. It'* tricky getting the texture the same on all 3 parts. We'll see how well I did when I put it together tonight.

I'll have some more SC and LIM pics up later this morning. Gottagettoworkfirst.

I still plan to turn the key sometime this week. Lots of little details to handle first. Rear valvetrain isn't even in yet.

This morning'* pics:

SC coating

And a comparison between the ZM stage 1 LIM from last year (left) and the ZM stage 2 LIM for this year (right):
Name: DSC03846.jpg
Views: 45
Size: 100.2 KB

Stock (OEM) ports are roughly .8x1.8" (1.44" square)
Stage 1 ports are .9x1.9" to match stock heads (1.71" square)
Stage 2 ports are .95x1.95" to match newly ported heads (1.85" square)

For comparison:
OEM to Stage 1 (matched to stock heads) is an 18.8% increase. (what I ran last year)
Stage 1 to Stage 2 (matched to ported heads) is a 8.2% increase. (last year to this year)
OEM stock ports to stage 2 is a 28.5% increase over stock.

You can see it doesn't take much to gain in flow, even when simply matching stock head ports. The L36 has a larger gain due to the poor LIM castings, but the S1 L67 still has a bit to gain, which is very beneficial as the S1 L67 runs out of breath at the upper RPM'*.

Read this:

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=74148

Update on the coating is 'not yet deemed appropriate for long-term durability'. We'll see. I'm testing it on the SC, and one other member is testing it over bare aluminum on a Throttle Body.

If it holds up for a month or so of heat/cool cycles on the Zilla, and maybe a couple engine cleanings, I'll dish out the info on it. Alot more of this has to do with HOW it'* applied, not just WHAT it is.
