TR7'* at .060? You need to read my NGK tech talk sticky. You'll have big problems with that setup.

Salmanman'* times are Gtech'd, with no track time to verify the Gtech. My experiences this summer show that the gtech is worthless unless you can back it up with track times, or use the track times and conditions to calibrate/verify the Gtech.
Willren, dont ask me how but somehow i missed your post til now :?:

I could have sworn that in that tech article you said that if you have an MSD DIS-4 that you can safely go to TR7s at 060???

I need to read it over then, because i was ablout to order some...

That is too funny!
Actually i said ABOUT 300 HP which wouldnt be an exact measurment.

I've owned it for 7 years, i know what it could do before and what it had, this is just an educated guess compa red to what it has now.

Oh, easy! I love the hella torque my SSEi has, too! I think it'* a fitting description. Just struck me as funny, that'* all.

Willren, I remember why i came up with TR 7s at .060 when i read that a month ago. TR7 b/c my SC pulley is smaller then what they suggest ('in proportion to a series II ) you should go down 2 ranges with. Remember i was warned that i shouldnt go below 2.5, but i have a 2.4? i know it runs HOT HOT HOT and i have no intercooler. and the .060 gap b/c they tested up to .070 with an MSD Dis 4 succesfully. (that was in the foghorn post).

I'm not sure 3 heatranges colder are going to do you any good. The extra tenth you went on your pulley is probably actually costing you power, as well. Without an intercooler, you may just be killing yourself in heat loss, and stepping back up to a 2.5 may gain you power.

You may SEE more indicated boost pressure on the gauge, but it'* causing more KR.

I have the 2.5. This was a while ago, but I think I remeber scanning my car while driving and seeing no KR at all under WOT or durring shifting. I'll need to check that out this weekend.

SSEi95, you also have a stock airbox with hotter air and less air, so you'd have more KR off the bat anyways.

Actually, his airbox should be providing cool air just fine, but with the 3" exhaust, he'* less likely to have KR than Nytro. It'll breathe better, yet may cost backpressure at the same time.

The combination of stock airbox and open exhaust is a good combination to battle KR.
