Don't waste your money trying to make your valvetrain more reliable. You can't make it better. That'* no joke. It'* built from the ground up for longevity and performance. Don't waste money on injectors, either, unless you have a bad one. Your stock injectors are capable of supporting 300-350hp. Heavier valve springs might be a good idea, especially if you're considering a cam. I get valve float at redline in 2nd gear (I don't do that much).

You're at the point where you really need to get to the track and dyno, come back with the numbers, and tell us where you want to be. We can make some suggestions for getting you there.

I may end up keeping my '93. If I do, I'm getting the Jet chip and moving ahead quite quickly on my.....idea.... ....using the '93 as a guinea pig now that I can....then we'll see....

a good choice for valve springs are the small block chevy ones, i heard they are a direct swap and are 110# compared to our 85# springs stock.

O.K., i'm looking at BonnEvil'* shift points on his 95' SSEi, and note they are at 5200 RPM. When I test drove the 95' LSS */c first gear clearly shifted at 5800 RPM and second at the 5500 RPM redline. This is another reason I didn't buy that car, sounds like a trans problem, doesn't it? BTW- that car is still for sale after FOUR months!!!!! Just goes to show there are problems.

actually looking at it today while at WOT the shift point looked more like 5100 RPM from 1st to 2nd.....BTW I dont suggest doing this if there are ANY other cars on the road LOL.
Maby next time ill ask my passenger to look carefully while im as my shift points. Also I was in town so I didnt get to go from 2nd to 3rd at WOT....cause thats a liitle too fast with a 45 mph limit

We'll have to see about that "passing of the crown". I'll be modding my Bonne'* intake, adding the 2.5 pulley, changing the plugs to Tr-55'*, new plug wires, collant flush with a new drilled 180-tstat, and I got a nifty idea for my CAI using some Ford intake tubing. I don't see why I couldn't be some good competition for Greenzilla when I'm done within the month here. But I don't think we'll be duking it out at the track, unless one of us wants to drive across the country.

The PCM is going to be very hard to overcome, and mine makes up a wee bit more than the factory 'margin' between our cars. The 94 and 95 have the head start already, but that freak of nature PCM gets in the way every time.

BTW, there'* another 93 that'* going to hand ALL of us our asses for a long time. A new standard is being set.

"New standard", eh? Well, in a matter of weeks, I'll know for sure if I keep the '93. If so, I'm moving forward quite rapidly on the intercooling idea I've been toying with (patent pending, :P )...

I'll let ya know.

If you make an intercooler setup that works on a SER1 then you HAVE TO SELL ME ONE!!!!!! Thats the main reason I like the SER2 motor cause you can get like 4 different intercoolers from different manufacturers. Such a huge aftermarket! Seriousely if you do this I want to know how so I can too.
