I don't know much about trannies, as you can probably tell.

The guy with the 383 stroker TBI in a 87 Chevy truck. Supposedly it was a 360hp street machine! (as quoted by the engine builder...) It made a whopping 156whp. I tuned it and got it up to 175 at the peak and it gained 40whp at 5000rpm. Add back 80% drivetrain losses to get the 360hp???? LOL! the engine made a good 225-230, which is about right for a (basically) 383 2-bbl. (I doubt it was even a 383 to this day)
Nice exhaust housing choice...make sure you are in diapers when you get into the throttle bwhahahaha...
I haven't read the whole thread, but I am curious what is the engine management you will be using. Pls don't tell me stock PCM on such good work
also maf?

LS1 MAF, (gutted divider).
I found
to turbocharged400, thatI will have issues with the manual valve pisition switch int he -80E vs. the 65E, so I will be running the 4T80E of a stand-alone 4L80E diesel tcm with Tunercat tuning software. or atleast, that'* the plan as of now...

Yes, I drove the Bonne for about 6 months from Nov. 05 to June 06. It has been in project mode ever since. I do plan to drive it daily. This is the car I wanted to buy back in '94 when I bought my first new car. I couldn;t afford one, so I had to settle for a '94 Grand Am GT V-6 sedan. It'* like I finally have my dream car (and the nicer looking '96 body IMHO) 13 years later.
I finished one of the wood plates, I'll post some pics later. Have to finish the other today....

Otherwise, great project! I really like your engine bay pictures, but I don't think you've shown your new turbocharger. I may have missed it, but did you yet put in the new one?

Here are pics of the interooler as it nears completion. I need to get a radius bit to carve out the tube slots in the end. I am using clear vinyl tubing which is thinner od than heater hose so I can use an off-the-shelf (cheap) router bit.
I still need to plane them down to 1.300" each for a total thickness of 2.600. I've had the */c on the engine with that much matl under it and it clears the hood wiht 1/4" to spare!
